Kerstin Lichtblau

Kerstin Lichtblau (1967, Frankfurt am Main) is an artist with a focus on painting, screen printing, drawing, and collage. She works with her »Augenmädchen« (Eye Girls) in her screen-printing workshop at AtelierFrankfurt. She completed her studies in Fine Arts as a master student at the Städelschule in 2002, following earlier studies in art education and sociology at Goethe University Frankfurt. Her first »Augenmädchen« works were created in 2004 during a fellowship from the Hessian Ministry of Science and Art.

Since 2008, Lichtblau has been publishing artist books through her Lichtblau Verlag, which are exhibited at international art book fairs and exhibitions, with some housed in renowned collections from New York to Offenbach.

Kerstin Lichtblau »Augenmädchen« series is included in numerous public and private collections, and her work has received support through a Neustart Kultur grant, making it accessible as augmented reality in the metaverse.
