It brings together rhythm, movement and ritual, shaped by histories of resistance and cultural continuity.<\/p>\n<p>This session begins with a concise introduction to its origins and structure \u2014 from royal court imagery to the driving force of the alfaia drums. We will then move into a practical workshop: participants are invited to explore basic rhythms, simple movement patterns and the collective energy that defines Maracatu. No previous experience is needed.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop closes with a shared Fika \u2014 time to pause, exchange impressions and let the rhythm settle.<\/p>\n<p>Open to all.
